Playing Mathgame is very simple yet addictive, just find an equation that works from the random pieces.
For first time players, just play the normal game and start pressing the numbers, the game is simple and should be intuitive. Watch the youtube video if you still can't figure it out.
Though simple, to achieve higher scores, one needs to master the balance between luck, greed, and skill:
1. Use the random silver or gold piece to increase the base score
2. Use the center colored piece to increase the bonus multiplier
The answer from the previous equation becomes the center colored piece. Use this to plan ahead to manage the probability of not getting stuck. Don't use the center piece if there are too little symbols. Use the hint button as there's no penalty.
Mathgame also has many little educational touches like:
1. Ready, set, go words are in traffic light colors
2. Center colored piece cycles through the 7 rainbow colors in order
3. Equations use the commonly used numbers from 2 through 81
